This Privacy Policy explains how QR vCard Garden LLC ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use WebToolsBetter ("the Service") at webtoolsbetter.com.

Our core privacy commitment is simple: we hold your processed file for up to 24 hours so you can re-download it if your first download fails, then permanently delete it. We do not archive, back up, or use your files for any other purpose.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address (used as your login and for service communication)
• An encrypted hash of your password (we never store passwords in plain text)
• The date you created your account and the date you verified your email

Files You Upload

When you use a tool, you upload a file for processing. We:

• Receive the file on our server
• Process it according to the tool's function (resize, compress, convert, etc.)
• Send the processed result back to your browser as a download
• Delete the original upload immediately after the processed file is generated
• Hold the processed output for up to 24 hours so you can re-download it if your first download is interrupted, then permanently delete it

We do not read, analyze, or train any system on the contents of your files. Originals are deleted within seconds of processing. Processed outputs are auto-purged within 24 hours.

Payment Information

We do not collect or store payment card data. All payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. When you make a purchase, your card information is sent directly to Stripe's servers, never ours. We receive only:

• A confirmation that payment succeeded
• The Stripe transaction ID (for our records and refund processing)
• The amount and credit pack purchased

Stripe's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Usage Information

We log basic operational data to keep the Service working:

• Which tools you used and when (used to deduct credits and show your purchase history)
• IP address (used to detect abuse and for fraud prevention)
• Browser type and operating system (used to debug compatibility issues)

We do not maintain detailed analytics on individual user behavior.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only to:

• Provide and operate the Service
• Authenticate your account and verify your email
• Track your credit balance and purchase history
• Send transactional emails (verification, receipts, refund confirmations, account notices)
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Respond to your support inquiries
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your information to third parties.

3. Email Communication

We send the following emails to your registered address:

• Email verification — when you sign up
• Receipts — after a credit pack purchase
• Refund confirmations — when a refund is processed
• Service notices — important changes to terms, pricing, or service availability

We do not send marketing or promotional emails.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies, all functional:

• Session cookies — keep you logged in while you use the Service
• CSRF tokens — protect against cross-site request forgery attacks

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not use tracking pixels.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate WebToolsBetter:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Brevo — transactional email delivery
• DigitalOcean — server hosting
• Google reCAPTCHA — spam and bot prevention on signup forms

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We have selected providers that we believe handle data responsibly.

6. Data Retention

• Uploaded files (originals): deleted immediately after processing
• Processed output files: retained for up to 24 hours to allow re-download, then permanently deleted
• Account information: retained for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period after deletion for fraud prevention and legal compliance
• Transaction records: retained for at least 7 years to comply with tax and accounting requirements
• Server logs: retained for up to 90 days, then deleted or anonymized

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data (subject to retention requirements above)
• Export your account information in a portable format

8. Children's Privacy

WebToolsBetter is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete the account.

9. International Users

WebToolsBetter is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

10. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted password storage, and access controls on our infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered account holders or by prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
