The short version
WebToolsBetter exists because the existing options for simple file tasks — resizing an image, compressing a PDF, converting a format — are either bloated, surveillance-heavy, or trying to upsell you to a $20/month subscription you don't need.
We build small, focused tools that do one job well. You pay for credits when you need them. You don't pay for a subscription you'll forget to cancel. Your files stay on our servers for the seconds it takes to process them, then they're gone.
How this is different
Pay-as-you-go, no subscription
Buy credits when you need them. They're valid for 12 months. No recurring charges, no auto-renewals, no "we'll just keep billing you" surprises.
Files deleted immediately
Your uploads exist on our servers only for the seconds required to process them. We don't store, archive, or back up anything you upload. We don't analyze your files. We don't train AI on them. They're processed, returned, deleted.
No tracking, no ads
No third-party advertising cookies. No tracking pixels. No shadow analytics platform watching your every move. Just functional cookies to keep you logged in.
Built by a small team
WebToolsBetter is operated by QR vCard Garden LLC, a small Texas-based company. When you email [email protected], a real person reads it. We don't have a 47-page knowledge base, a chatbot, or an offshore support center.
Who builds this
WebToolsBetter is built and operated by a solo developer with about twenty years of design experience. The same person designs the site, writes the code, picks the tools to build, and answers your support emails.
We're a small operation by choice. We'd rather build a few great tools than a sprawling product nobody uses.
What we're working on
We're starting with the everyday file utilities people actually need: image resizing, PDF compression, format conversion, and similar single-purpose tools. As we grow, we'll add more — but always with the same approach: do one thing, do it well, respect the user's privacy and time.
